This year, our subsidiary La Loma Alimentos is supporting two educational projects in the Argentine province of Entre Ríos: Sembrando Sueños (“Sowing Dreams”), aimed at children in Chajarí, and Tu Pasión Inspira (“Your Passion Inspires”), designed for teachers throughout the province.
Sembrando Sueños helps children improve their reading and writing skills. The project is run by Fundación Volando Alto, an organization that views education as a tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and works directly with children and neighborhood volunteers.
The project was launched in 2025 to reduce educational gaps among children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Over ten months, participants worked on reading, writing, and basic math skills. They also received a healthy snack at each session, as well as school kits. To ensure the project’s continuity, volunteers from a local community center were trained as tutors and supported the children throughout the program.
This year, the project has expanded to a neighborhood with greater educational support needs, where it is working with 30 children, many of whom struggle with reading comprehension. The goal is to help them make progress and feel more confident in the classroom.
Meanwhile, Tu Pasión Inspira is a free online course developed by Fundación Forge, a nonprofit organization that has been working since 2005 to help young people across Latin America define their life goals and enter the workforce. Thanks to scholarships provided by Fundación Ebro, more than 100 teachers in Entre Ríos have completed this training, which is designed to help them guide their students as they transition to adulthood and working life.
These teachers, in turn, reach more than 2,700 students. Many agreed that the activity “created a space for reflection that was different from a traditional classroom setting.”
Through these two initiatives, La Loma Alimentos is helping expand educational opportunities for children and young people in the communities where the Group operates, with the support of Fundación Ebro and in collaboration with organizations that have a close understanding of local needs.
