There are many ways to move forward as a Company. Growing our businesses is one of them, but so is continuing to innovate, working to make our activities more sustainable, caring for people and making a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate.<\/p>\n
This new issue of Caring for News<\/em> is, to a large extent, a reflection of all these efforts. We are operating in a particularly challenging environment, shaped by significant economic and geopolitical uncertainty. Yet we continue to move forward, developing initiatives that demonstrate the Group\u2019s ability to look ahead. Our results for the first nine months bear this out, as do many of the projects featured in this newsletter.<\/p>\n In Ghana and Argentina, a range of educational initiatives are creating new opportunities for children and teachers. In the United States, Riviana Foods continues to extend its commitment to the communities in which it operates. And in India, our sustainable basmati rice cultivation programme has received further recognition for its long-standing efforts to move towards more efficient and sustainable farming models, while reducing our carbon footprint.<\/p>\n These are different projects and very different realities, but they all form part of a shared way of understanding our development: continuing to move forward, even in the most challenging of times, and building a Company that is prepared for the future and committed to the world around it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" There are many ways to move forward as a Company.
