Ebro India, GREAT PLACE TO WORK®

Coinciding with the 5th anniversary of its incorporation, our company Ebro India has just received certification as a Great Place to Work®. This initiative acknowledges the best places to work in over 50 countries around the world. Quite an achievement, especially since it is the first rice producer in India to obtain this award.

Every year, more than 8,000 organisations in 50 different countries are analysed and assessed by the Great Place to Work® Institute to achieve this certification. Great Place to Work® Institute is a global research, advisory and training entity that helps organisations to identify, create and maintain excellent places to work through the development of High Trust cultures.

The list of certified entities is drawn up based on the perception that employees have of their respective companies and the human resources practices and policies implemented in those organisations, obtained through a survey that measures precisely the conduct, behaviour and atmosphere in the most desirable workplaces in the world and successful companies.

How is trust measured?

Trust is measured through two pillars of analysis. On the one hand, the organisation’s culture is investigated through its employees’ replies in the employee survey (Trust Index© survey), which focuses on the five dimensions that are in the employees’ vision. And on the other, the working atmosphere is measured through an investigation of its culture (Culture Audit©), organised through the nine areas of practice defined in the leader’s vision.

Employees’ vision

The employees consider an organisation to be a great place to work when they:

  • TRUST the people they work for.
  • Feel PROUD of what they do.
  • ENJOY the people they work with.

Trust is the linchpin of an excellent working atmosphere. It is generated through the bosses’ credibility, the respect with which employees feel they are treated, and the justice with which they expect to be treated. The degree of pride in the organisation and the levels of true connection and camaraderie that employees feel are essential components.

The leader’s vision

From the leader’s point of view, a great place to work is one where the leaders:

  • ACHIEVE THE ORGANISATION’S GOALS.
  • Get people to GIVE THEIR BEST.
  • WORK AS A TEAM/FAMILY, all within an atmosphere of TRUST.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation, gratitude and congratulations to the outstanding work done over these past five years by its Managing Director, Jean Philippe Laborde, and his team.
